Litmus unveils its 2020 Orange Bacchus Wine
This April, English wine producer Litmus, launches its 2020 Orange Bacchus.
“The 2020 Orange Bacchus falls nicely into that sweet spot between funkiness and drinkability, which is exactly what I was aiming for” says Litmus’ Managing Director and Winemaker John Worontschak.”.
Complex with a gripping astringency and a long silky finish the Litmus 2020 Orange Bacchus is pale gold with hazelnut, fennel, and marzipan characters on the nose and is spicy with a touch of vanilla on the palette. A wine with a bitterness that pairs beautifully with oily meats and spicy dishes.
Orange wines are white wines that have been fermented and aged on their skins before pressing. The 2020 Orange wine spent 18 weeks on skins after fermentation without sulphur dioxide before pressing and bottling in March 2021.
